Health factor
The Health factor measures the quality of your shopping basket from a cancer risk standpoint. Baskets which contain a large number of ultra-processed food products, a significant proportion of red meat, or of sugar-sweetened beverages, present a heightened risk of cancer. On the contrary, the presence of fruits and vegetables, or of food products rich in fibers, leads to a reduction of such risk.
The Health factor implements the guidance provided by Shams-White et al. in "Operationalizing the 2018 World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute for Cancer Research (WCRF/AICR)", available at
The higher the health factor, the higher the quality of your food basket and the lower your risk.
